Personally....

I think the full size, 600 some odd dollar dysons should be under 200

Dyson have...

I saw that in the Sunday ads

Thought at the time it was a great price, I just don't have need for one.

The cheapest Dyson have sold their upright for was the DC01 for £179.99, or their end of line ones on Dyson Outlet on ebay for like £160

Tayyab, it's important to remember that Dyson's in the US are FAR more expensive than in the UK.

Incidentally, I rememeber the DC04 Silver-Lime being sold by Co-Op on clearance for £139.99.

Yes I agree. And wow! That is a really good price for a reliable oldie machine.

to be fair, dyson normal cost of ownership is minimal for 4-5 years. You pay a lot up front, but typically the filters are washable. There are some far cheaper bagless vacuums that cost a lot more to operate due to expensive replacement filters. I'm not convinced that the copycat brands (e.g. Hoover, LG, Samsung, Eureka, Dirt Devil & Shark) filter as well the Dysons.
