about 3 1/2 years ago I went with a friend who collects random things, to a house that was getting cleaned out in the town of Greene, the Barn/garage used to be the old Broom factory. I had a crazy feeling that there was a machine in the dumpster filled with all sorts of wonderful treasures such as iron statues and figures to appliances and furniture. something kept telling me that there was an electrolux somewhere in there. upon moving some furniture there was a belden plug and a box that was kind of torn with red lettering on it, that is when I knew I found what I was looking for. nearly complete with floor tool, dusting brush, 2 steel wands crevice tool, original cord, hose (in excellent and hardly used condition) and upholstery tool was a 1948 model 30 I nearly died it was in excellent shape. I immediately took it home and inspected it before plugging it in. once plugged in it purred like it was never run before. a couple of years later my sale friend was at the dump, he called me and said "I have something for you and I will be over in a little to drop it off" I said "ok" all excited to see what it was he came over and brought to me an early 37' electrolux model 30 I was speechless! I haven't posted pics of neither machine so here they are.

Yes, that's the "earliest of the earliest." Nice find!! While later XXXs are still popping up all over the place, you rarely come across these early models.

Thanks Charles for the reply! I was wondering if it was a true 37' and after looking at your web page on the 30 it has been confirmed. It will be nice again when I have time to go through it and clean it up lol. I have the original hose for it but sadly it is destroyed,
