Hi, I'm restoring a Miele S256 Black Diamond that had been used as a shop vac and has had lots of fine dust get into the motor assembly. I'm wondering if anyone here has had experience with the Miele motor assemblies or know where to find a parts diagram?

Thank you.

The black diamond should have a Lamb motor in it, which is very simple to get into for rebuilding. These are the diagrams for the canister, I can't find a diagram for the motor, but I'm sure someone can give you a good description of how to get into it. If you want/need any part numbers from the diagrams here let me know.

Thanks for those diagrams! They're very helpful. The motor assembly is Lamb model 115923-AA.

The seals on the ball bearings are somewhat disintegrated and don't turn very smoothly. Wondering if it's worth replacing the bearings or getting a whole new motor assembly. I can find the bearings (originals labelled 608V but since they're double sealed they must be 608VV?) for $25 for the pair and deal with the trouble of taking them off and putting the new ones one. I can't find the exact motor assembly 115923-AA but apparently it's the "same as 115923 except T-6 ROT. FAN & 54-G-11 BALANCE", which I found for $65. I can't find further information on the T-6 Rot. Fan & 54-g-11 balance, any ideas?
