I have the same issue with my Heritage IIs. It got to the point where I just stopped using them. I agree- any insight on this issue would be great! |

Use only genuine Kirby parts. Generic parts aren't of the same quality as the genuine parts. |

I haven't had that problem on any of my two Kirbys - with the replacement brush rolls. But I will refer you to this section of the Heritage II service manual for your trouble. ~Ben

The tabs that hold the plastic brush ends are bent causing play that makes a rattle sound you need to ben the tabs inward to stop the play and the problem should go away. Rich new2youvacuums |

I'm going to second the last 2 posts, make sure the screw adjustments on the ends of the brush are set correctly and evenly, and also bend the tabs that hold the sides of the brush ends in a bit, over time they can bend out and not hold it as tight as it is supposed to, bend them in a bit to get a good snug fit.
