So my wife's lux guardian does not work all of a sudden. When the wand is hooked up and i turn it on, there is power to the brushes, but still the motor in the canister does not turn on. Therefore, resulting in no suction. Any suggestions? ? Model Number cc154E. Also any insight on the new designed guardian platinum, and where I could get one without paying retail? Thanks in advance guys!
P.s. The bag is not full and the door is shut.
Jerry

Jerry, it sounds to me to be either a faulty circuit board inside the canister, or a dead motor. However, since you say that the powerhead is still working, that tells me the two circuit boards must still be communicating with each other, so I would lean more likely towards a dead motor. Good luck with getting it repaired.

So many possibilities

Could be a bad motor. That's fairly simple. Or it could be in the hose. Loose or broken connection somewhere ( usually in the grip). I have seen the terminal blocks at the swivel go bad. Also seen the terminal just come unplugged. Then their is also the possibility of a bad switch board in the handle.

boards....boards....why do we need all these BOARDS?! surprised

I'm sure even these things would be more reliable, my thread in the household department has proved that! tongue-out

Hamma214: It sounds like it's time for you to get a Kirby.

This problem would never happen if you had a Kirby.
