Trying to get some info on my recently acquired vacuum. I cant seem to find this model anywhere online. Its a Royal metal. Model# 1020z. Serial# e96a 00001597. It seems to have odd features compared to others I have seen. It has the infinite height adjust with the knob instead of foot adjuster and has the adjust o rite diaphragm. It also has 2 screws that hold on the brush roll guard along with it clipping on. Not sure of the age so I am sorry if i put this in the wrong place, but it appears newer as it does not have replaceable brushes on the motor. Got this thing for what i think was a great deal and it works great. Local Vac shop could not find any info on this model either. Any help or hints on where to look for info would be great. Thanks for your time!!

-Paul

Thank you Ben! Appreciate you taking your time to reply. Is this a pretty standard model? The later models all pretty much look the same to me other than the colors. In your opinion which manual should i try to find (not really needed, its a basic vac) but curious about the oddities of this one. Thanks again.

Paul,

Yes, these were all pretty much a cookie-cutter design. Headlight not necessary, but can be helpful in darker areas.

For more information about looking for an owner's manual you could call Royal's customer service hotline at 1-800-321-1134. Otherwise you should be all set in learning how to operate this.
