My remanuf Kirby came with a box of these bags. They seem to work very well. However each one of them has a "flap" of vinyl rolled up right above the opening. It doesn't seem to be adhesive of any kind. It is almost the same dimentions as the card board mounting tag. What is it for? I thought it would be to block the opening to a dirty bag, but I'm too dense to figure it out!

KirbyLover, just looked at it again. I must have had a serious case of cranial blockage of the blow hole.
KirbyClassic, lord, I'm already freaking about my child. What is wrong with these and what should I use on an Ultimate G?

Mark, the only problem with the condition is that it gives me a shi**y outlook on life!

Envirocare Hepa

I use these on my Hoover Windtunnel, and Kenmore canisters, and never a speck of dust in the bag chamber on either machine. I have wall-to-wall carpeting and own a shedding dog, so they get a workout. I'm sure they're priced considerably less than the original Kirby bags, but performance wise, they're very much the same. I've also used them in my Kirbys as well, and no change in filtration or performance from the originals. Vacuum on!

Are there any HEPA bags for Eureka Mighty Mites? I have the current version that uses style MM bag; & even the micro-lined bags leak dirt. I cut a Filter Queen white filter cone & put it behind the black foam pre-motor filter for extra protection in case the bag bursts or leaks

I don't think so

for the mighty mite. I looked all over the place for hepa cloth bags for mine that I had for about 7 yrs before it died. Why? I don't know.

Mark, there are versions of the Eureka Mighty Mite that incorporate a True HEPA filter on the exhaust. So perhaps that explains the aftermarket companies' logic for not introducing a HEPA bag.
