I'm wondering what other tins and bottles are out there, show me what you've got!

My first set is a Hoover oiler, an Expello moth crystal tin for Electrolux, and a Scott & Fetzer oiler (I really need the damn machine!!)

Then we have 2 larger sized Sweet-Aire bottles, one cedar pine, and one Oriental (not really sure what this is supposed to smell like, but it's weird.)

I knew this was a bad idea, now I want both of those! While eBay and I do have a bit of romance, many of these are from antique shops, or came with vacuums I've bought.

Wow, well, then those vacuums came from CRAIGSLIST, didn't they? Detroit has a lot more cool old stuff than my town, but Florida is a hot spot for old cars! I saw 2 in 5 minutes the other day, not at a car show, but while just driving down the road! laughing

Oh, and about your profile picture, should I be more worried that the vacuum tube has impaled the electric guy from the back of his head, or that he's sucking up wine with a cloth-bagged vacuum? tongue-out

LOL! He's not sucking up wine, it's dust... Never you mind about my electric demonic vacuum man...

Oh, and Detroit has its fair share of classic cars too...they don't call it Motor City for nothin'!

Now that I think of it, maybe that's what happened to my Airway bag, someone vacuumed up wine! It does have a reddish tint...

Ok, the question is now who put dust in the good crystal wine glasses!? When I find out who...they'll be the one with the vacuum wand in their head! Well...maybe I won't go that harsh, unless you need backup with those people insulting Detroit! tongue-out

tins,etc

Great collection and easy to store. Some of mine are in car model clear display boxes.Hoover also had a yellow label. The Expello sample should have a pic of Elux Mo XII or XXX on back.I have never seen the SA oriental.
Many floor wax cans of the 60s were labeled with pics of Hoover,Shetland and more.
Perhaps the best series of cans and then aeresol was started by Electrolux with an increased emphasis on supply sales about 1948.The east coast convention had huge display cans hanging from the ceiling at introduction.Early 50s products had either Mo XXX or later the Mo LX then the friendly Elux man logo into the 60s.There were glass jars, square cans, rectangular cans and later spray cans for moth crystals, waxes, bug killer,Nuvo cleaner, glass cleaner, silver cleaner and more. Many described in then current owners manuals.
Also a tall round waxer can for the AirWay similar to yours.
