When I joined Vacuumland a little over a year ago I thought it would be interesting and maybe I would find a belt cover for my Royal 215. I never thought I would become a real collecter, but I have so many now, I am! My focus is on Royals but I have become a Kirby fan too. I am finding them rewarding and fun to restore. Here are pics of recent Royals and Kirbys. I have also added some Eurekas, a Hoover, and a Kenmore Commander that I'll post later.
Here is the now complete Royal 215 |

I found a brand new original outer bag to make this like new. It was built October 2002. I believe this could be one of the last US built 2028 and it has become one of my favorites!

I have always said that I have no interest in the newer larger Kirbys past the D80. But when I found this beautiful Legend II complete with the tools I had to have it! I have since added the matching rug renovator and floor polisher as well as the zip brush and sander.

Mike,
Here's my 1969 Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80. It currently has the Classic III's toe touch control assembly on it, which I used as an experiment to make it go higher at the maximum position. It now also has a brand new 4-row ball-bearing brush roll installed. ~Ben |

Royals and other vacs made by Royal are my favorites too! Especially Electro-Hygiene, which I sold for a while in 1974 and again in 1976. Here's a pic of one of my model 903 Electro-Hygienes. This is my newest 903, made in 1983.

The shiny D80 was sent out by Evan (Kirbykid) He also polished my 509 and it looks just as nice. |

Yes I did find the shake out on ebay. I also bought the NOS bag for the 2028 on ebay. In answer the the polishing question, like I said I don't know who he sends polishing to. Evan sends large quanities of parts at a time. Besides, we trade services. I paint Kirby soft trim to original colors for him. |
