Without more pics or seeing it in person I'd say it looks like something built by MasterCraft, they will make machines for anyone, and this looks like it was most likely labeled for a vac shop or janitorial supplier, I'm going to assume they were directly competing with Clarke, or this may have been a replacement for a Clarke in their lineup of offerings. Its most certainly not a Clarke brand. My guess would be 70s or 80s. I may be totally wrong, but this is my initial impression of it.
There are some of us collectors who go nuts over these commercial/industrial machines, I am one of them, however it seems we are in the minority, as my experience has been that most aren't interested. I would offer $60 for it if someone asked what I'd pay for it. Old vacuums, thankfully, haven't become worth big bucks, and I hope they never do. It happened to the car hobby and now you have to be fairly wealthy to collect them. When money gets involved in a hobby like this it takes all the fun out. |
