Not a Dyson fan here by any stretch of the imagination, no offense to those who are! The Dyson Motorhead Canister was the only machine made by Dyson that I did really like. I test drove one at Sears once. Why do they not make them anymore? Everyone knows a powered nozzle cleans better than an air driven nozzle. I tried a turbine head at Sears and just like all air driven nozzles it all but stopped while vacuuming carpet. I even thought about buying one on ebay and they are basically non existent. Thanks for the info!

I guess you can still get a DC21 or 23 off eBay! :)
They look pretty good, but. I prefer the DC21 due to looking a bit better

The worst part about the Dyson Motorhead canister was that you could not disconnect the telescopic wand from the hose. This made it very inconvenient to use for above-the-floor cleaning, especially when cleaning in tight spaces like book shelves and car interiors. The bulky hose+wand made it tiring and inconvenient to use for these kinds of surfaces, which kind of defeated the purpose of a canister vac. You may as well have just bought an upright.

The DC05 Motörhead was usefrziendly, you can use it fo r car cleaning unlike the other Dyson Motörhead cylinders

Thank you for that clarification! Just saw the DC05 in action on Youtube. Did not know the original Motorhead had a more normal wand set-up ....plus remote control on/off on the handle! Too bad that set-up was not kept......

IKR, it seems like they downgraded in features, but improved the performance...
Dc05 motor heads did have some issues with the handle though, shame because they are nice, quiet and are pretty. The normal dc05's are kinda clumsy with the floor tools and handle connections snapping off.
