Hey Everyone! My first time posting here. I LOVE THIS WEBSITE! I recently aquired a '93 BOL blue/green Hoover PowerMax. I want to replace both belts, brushroll, cord, motor fan, and carbon brushes. My question is: are the parts for the PowerMax the same as the Concepts I & II? I'd greatly appreciate some feedback/advice. Thanks guys!

Off the top of my head I don't know. The Hoover website will usually answer those questions. If you know the model numbers, enter these into the Hoover website and write down the part numbers of what you are looking for. Compare part numbers with the other models to see what crosses. Another alternative is to look at the "schematics" on the Hesco Inc. website.

All of the parts you list above are interchangeable between the C1/C2 and PowerMax, with exception of the brushroll. Hoover went from a steel brushroll to a plastic brushroll during the early run of the PowerMax. If you use an earlier steel brushroll, it will work, but you then need a different bottom plate. You shouldn't need to replace the carbon brushes; those generally don't wear too much. The fans are also usually in pretty good shape; I usually just wash them and am good to go.

Good Luck!

All of this is great information. Thanks guys. The Hesco site is awesome! @HooverCelebrity: I'll clean the motor up a little more and wash the fan. Thanks again!
