I have a chance to pick up a lightly used classic III. It has all the components and boxes. What would be a fair price? I feel they want a bit much $130. What would you offer? What would be a good deal?

Thanks
The new guy Preston

If it is in great condition - including cosmetics - and they have most all accessories, I don't think $130 is necessarily high.

Sound pretty good to me too. That's a very strong vacuum cleaner

buy it!

That's all I have to say if you haven't already. The Kirby classic lll has become my favorite cleaner thus far. Mine was beat to all hell when I rescued it and it still shows takes a licking keeps on ticking.

Is there a way to use the original or one that looks like an original emtor with disposable bags? What kind of bags are you using? Does it effect the performance?

Thanks :)

You could get

an emptor from a Tradition, and switch out the blue bottom cover for the red cover for the Classic III. You would need to replace the shakeout bag with one with a full zipper to use disposable bags. The Legend II bag would be a good choice since it matches pretty well. If you use the Tradition emptor, you would need to use Style 1 bags, unless you find a way to switch out the fill tube with a newer style one.

Thanks. So from what I understand the fill tube that goes with the tradition emtor is smaller then the new ones. Is there a way to use newer heppa bags with it while still having the old style emtor?

Preston,

It is possible to combine the bottom adapter from the Heritage I's fill tube assembly, and use the Heritage II's fill tube and top adapter. I hope that will solve your issue.
