From you pictures it looks like tape around the hose at the machine end. As well as the Wand end. If this is so, a new hose sounds give you great suction. Along with all the repair you made to the machine ! Norm |

oh, I know that feeling! it was a normal day when my Duo-Power canister showed up at KSSRC, sounding rough and uneasy. I tore into it, and nearly contemplating replacing the motor. I decided to rebuild the motor, something KSSRC had never attempted before, this was before KSSRC was even a thing! All that bearing needed was a touch of oil, and after blowing the fuse thanks to incorrect wiring, the motor breathed life back into itself! Today the legendary Duo-Power continues to putter along, leaving no mess un-touched! |

Ball bearings require grease! NEVER use oil on them!!! Only oil Sleave bearings. |

If the motor was screeching then the bearings need attention. |
