I met up with fellow collector Ken Hedrick in Atlanta the other day to do some thrift shopping/vac hunting and we found a few nice items at several different shops. I actually bought these from him directly though as I have wanted one of each for a long time lol. One is a 1947 Hoover 115 with the original attachments & the other is a very nice Hoover Convertible from the 70s/80s. Both of these are very nice machines!

This is one that he picked up at a Value City. I also found a like new Shark steam mop with all the pads I bought there. We also saw a kirby sentria & G4 behind the counter for $89.99 lol

That green and white convertible is a model U4127 from the late 1970's....they are probably my favorite convertible out there! That's a beautiful specimen you have there! If you ever decide to part with it, let me know!

I love the green & white convertibles as well. Has anyone here seen the art of Jeff Koons "New Hoover Convertibles"?

Hans

The girls ate at Mary Mac's Tea Room this weekend! My son and I were not with their group, so we ate at the original Varsity drive in downtown. They raved about the food.

It's quite alright lol. And yes, Blue Willow Inn, Mary Mac's Tea Room, and the Colonade are all excellent examples of southern dining, the food is amazing at all of them. The Sundial & Café Intermèzzo are also not to be missed, not southern food, but still great.
