How do you balance a brushroll for a convertible? does that mean changing the bearings or what? I have a model u4343 and it sounds like a lawn mower... im thinking of replacing the fan.. it looks pretty chewed up with sharp pieces on the ends of the blades. Any suggestions. i also going to replace the plastic end caps with metal ones. Would that help out with the noise?

Hoover Model; U4343
4.8 Amps.
No headlight, maroon hood with white strip in front that displays "Deluxe Convertible".. with beige and maroon striped bag. Type C..

Just to give ya'll a description or pic of what im working with.

Thanks.

A chewed up fan or a fan with missing blade will definatly cause vibration and loud noise. I would start by replacing the fan.

Thanks

I was thinking the fan is more than likely the culprit.. It's pretty torn up looking like the previous owner was picking up rocks or hard objects obviously.. Lol

ALWAYS be sure of a good fan.

It can make the world of difference. But, do check the brushroll too.
