Wow todays ad 10/13/06 is really great and yes I have a copy of this ad as well. Does anyone in the club have this machine? with the original bag? The bag on this particular machine was different than the 28 yes? Around here in Denver and in my home state of Nebraska I do not remember seeing a machine like this, I have seen more of the Hoover28. Was this a popular machine? I am sure some of you may have told many years ago about this machine but I have forgotten.
One of my Hoover 28s the hood over the motor has finally broke. Yes it is still on there but I cannot screw it on anymore, from the front. Where you screw the hood to the machine on both sides has cracked, which I have a feeling that has happened to others as well. Does anyone have an extra hood for a 28 one that is not broken.
The other thing is the plastic lense. What keeps them in there? I realize on this machine that has the broken hood the lense would not stay. Do you have to have the lense in order to vacuum with it?
Years ago I wrote to the Hoove Company asking if they had a owners manual for the 28 and they did respond which I still have their letter which it stated that they did not have but they sent a couple of lenses for the 28.
