Hi guys
Long shot here I know but, here goes

Does anyone know where I could get hold of a Hoover 912 commercial hoover?

I have been searching Ebay without any joy for months

Any info would be greatly received

David :)

I wish you luck, I too have been searching for one of those for a long time. I saw one at Habitat Restore once, but I didn't know what it was at the time.

very rare to find them here in the UK now

I guess people that have them tend to hold on to them

will have to be your virtue David. They do crop up from time to time, although its like busses, one does not show up for ages, and then 3 or 4 all crop up at the same time. They were sold here for 40 odd years so one is bound to turn up eventually

Thanks
David

David,

The same machine was also known in your neck of the woods as the 912A, U7008 and finally concluded with model C1312.

Well not a 912 but one of the later versions of it - collection only from Chester.

If this is a bit far for you or you don't have a car send me an email (email address in my profile) as I MIGHT be able to get it picked up for you and I will be in the Mansfield area soon

Al

I hope you find one and bet you will. I searched ebay for three years under "Hoover Commercial" but my net kept dragging up stuff like Hoover conquests and other modern Hoovers commercial. What finally did it for me was to search "vintage Hoover vacuums" and voila! There one was under vintage Hoovers. (Most non collectors of vacuums will percieve the holy grail to be simply an old Hoover.) I then had a very hard time locating a new impeller fan....but did...and needless to say, I only bring out my 918 for company! You will find your Hoover and maybe two or three! Hang in there!

Lilly,

The last version to bear this framework was the U7037, produced from 1978 to 1983.

912

Just a quick update guys,

In response to my looking for a Hoover 912 Commercial vac, I was messaged by Colin from this site who said he had one he would sell me.

I arranged to pick it up and there were 3 (one was a U7008) 1 in perfect condition and purrs beautifully. The other two need a little TLC to restore but I will do them.

I have been away so not got any pictures yet but as soon as I have time I will upload pictures of them.

I also managed to purchase an Exclusive Ranger and matching Junior.

It was great to meet you Colin and take a look at a small part of your collection.

Thank you so much
