I have an Electrolux Epic Floor Pro and need advise on how to clean, wax, and polish a residential new concrete floor. Any experienced success will be helpful

While I have not personally dealt with a brand new concrete garage floor I wanted you to know that I used my Electrolux Model B-8 Floor Beautifier (the predecessor to the Floor Pros) to scrub my not-so-new garage floor, and it worked great. I filled the shampoo dispenser with a general cleaner dilution which worked slick.

The same procedure that is used on indoor tile or linoleum floors can be used on concrete garage or patio floors:

1) Vacuum or sweep.

2) Scrub with scrub brushes or abrasive pads.

3) Rinse, squeegee or brush, or vacuum with wet vac; allow to dry completely.

4) Vacuum or sweep again (optional, but a good idea to ensure that all contaminants have been removed).

5) Polish with polishing pads.

6) Buff with buffing pads (if desired, but it may make a garage floor too slippery).

7) Clean the brushes, pads, bottom of the machine, cord, and splash guard with a mild detergent dilution; then wipe off the machine prior to storing it. Occasionally wipe out the storage tray.

8) Empty any remaining cleaner from the dispenser into a marked container if quite a bit is left (empty pop bottles work well) or down the drain and rinse the dispenser. Allow the dispenser to dry completely on the inside before screwing on the cap and storing. Besides preventing bacteria growth in the dispenser emptying it also slows the deterioration of the rubber plunger (recommended by a service tech). Store the container of left-over dilution in a safe place.

Here is a Youtube video of someone showing the procedures of sealing a new garage floor. If you did this procedure it would negate the immediate need of using the Epic Floor Pro to scrub and polish your floor (you would want to use it down the road for routine maintenance).
