Well there had to be one brand that would manage it - Electrolux, with their AEG/Lux branded UltraOne Quattro. I wonder if it will get to the UK in time...

"...The new Electrolux UltraOne Quattro vacuum is an 'AAAA' graded vacuum cleaner, according to the new EU energy labeling and eco design regulations. The Quattro has 'A' grade in 4 categories - energy efficiency, dust pickup on both carpet and hard floor, and dust re-emission..."

"...The new vacuum cleaner also features Electrolux innovate SilentAir Technology for quiet operation, specially designed ergonomic handle and brand new AeroPro Parketto Pro nozzle with front lights for thorough dust pick on hard floors with crevice. The Pro nozzle comes with the sealed brushes around the edges.

Other features of the 'AAAA' rated Electrolux UltraOne Quattro vacuum are 12 meter operating range, 5-liter dust bag and washable Allergy Plus air filter..."

That looks like a very nice Elux. I hope the metal wand is more reliable than the plastic wands used here in the United States.

But...

Is it as good as the original Electrolux? AKA Aerus.

Original Lux is AKA LX, Olympia One, XX, 1451, 1205! Aerus is AKA Guardian, and...Well I don't know enough about Aerus!

Looks like a cool vac, though

I wouldn't mind having one. Should I ask how much it costs???

Original Electrolux are the Swedish made models.

Looks like a nice cleaner, although the UltraOne had issues with build quality. I do hope Lux have resolved this.

It would be nice to see it branded Electrolux too instead of AEG. It's certainly a name I miss from the market.

Surely if its been rated under the EU regulations, they should be selling it across Europe, including the UK? Hope so, I used to love Electrolux products, including their vacuums which were very good.

Actually hold on, there are several VAX vacuums which are AAAA rated. My eco air upright, a new version of the floors and more and a vax bagless cylinder with the powerhead - www.vax.co.uk/vacuum-cleaners/eco...

Thats a misleading link Oli - not all of those vacuums on that page are rated AAAA right across the board. Some have poorer emissions.

Electrolux deserve an award alone for being able to produce a bagged vacuum that meets all the requirements AND be awarded the top rating. My only worry is the stats of the Electrolux aren't correct, but surely then the AAAA claim wouldn't stand up?

That is true, its all very superficial, however Vax have at least 4 models which are AAAA rated, the air 3 max eco, the air 3 eco, air silence powerhead and the floor to floors eco.

Just bought one

I bought this week an Electrolux Ultra one quattro with energy label AAAA. Very impressed about the high suction performance with only 700 watt motor. Very good carpet cleaning with the Powerbrush.

Oliveoiltinfoil: on the packaging is mentioned "Made in EU"

What a beast power nozzle! Please can someone make a video of this beauty :)
In here Finland this model costs 499 €. Too pricey for me :(

I still miss my old UltraOne. By far the best vac I have ever had. Very quiet, incredible suction, high quality large S-Bags and completely sealed system. It didn't lost suction even with a near full bag.
And I was fool enough to sell it. It didn't have any issues during 5 ears of use.

Nice looking Electrolux Ultra one quattro in the flesh! Good to see what it is like in actual photos.

In the UK the normal AEG branded range has sold in low numbers - there seems to be a lack of dust bags for this ranges unless you solely shop online. Changed days when Electrolux cylinder vacs were all the rage.
