fool

It's a silly test. Yes, the Dyson clogged because it sucked up too much crap too quickly for the size of the hose. Until he raised the height of the Kirby, it was essentially acting like a snow plow and pushing the pile of garbage forward. That should tell you that you should be using a broom rather than a vacuum cleaner for the job. Or at least switch to canister mode and pick up the pile of crap with the onboard tools. The Dyson would actually be more convenient for that in my opinion. However, the Kirby would certainly be effective.

For even more "fun", why not put down a layer of pea gravel and use both the Dyson and Kirby to pick them up? Or perhaps 50 pennies each...

I vote fool. This is not a scientifically designed test. It's actually meaningless. Vacuum cleaners (uprights especially) were never designed to pick up huge, clogging amounts of shredded paper. They were designed to pick up dirt.

This guy used to be on this forum but he was banned for always starting fights Personally I would have cleaned up my sitting room a bit first before making a video that would be seen all over the world.

I wonder how long it took the guy to unclog his Dyson after that idiotic test... I can't imagine stuffing all that sh** through the Kirby's fan was too great for it either.

A decision has been adjudicated! It is this court's decree, that the offending party will receive 100 lashes, as administered by a Kirby power cord for his penance. This sentence will be carried out immediately, primarily on the account of, the shoeless offender violated The Great Kirby Edict which states: Ingesting large amounts of debris, the deck should at lest be set on two. I'm just glad that the shoeless offender didn't set it to level eight ( Category 8 ) , he could have caused a quantum singularity which could have easily destroyed the earth!surprised

Not the good Kirby cord! The offending party actually promoted the Kirby as being superior to the Dyson. this, if anything, aids his court case! laughing

Alex, what do you suggest we do: Defile his body with a filthy DIE...DIE...DIESON cord!!! Do you not have any MERCY, MAN!?  Your so right Alex, the defendant really did present a Golden Case...Kirby Gold That Is! The defendant has hereby been exonerated of all felonious charges, and the claimants are hereby ordered to pay legal reparations for impugning the non-offender's good name. What say you, Alex, is he a fool or a SAGE...I think I know the answer.wink

Can't see the video,either-marked as private. Why should he bother posting it anyway if you can't see it?

I suspect the creator of the video has seen the comments above and decided to make it private.

Those gold plated Kirbys must be something the US Air Force ordered. They gold plate everything they buy. Just saying ....................

Probably use them for vacuuming the clubhouse at the golf course.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Gold Plated Kirby's were presented to the salesman who sold the most Kirby's in his district over a given period of time.

Clarification

Just to be clear, when I voted fool, I am only saying his test is foolish. I have no idea whether he is a sage or fool or somewhere in between.

In some ways, the video was kind of funny. When he realized his Kirby couldn't ingest the mound of paper, first he raised the height, and later he lifted it up and dropped it on the pile. Would have been a good candidate for America's funniest home videos. I give him a token point for taping off the carpet sections being tested. I hope he didn't do any lasting damage to his vacuums.

Might be sptyks, but have you ever worked a joint project with the Chair Force? Nothing is too expensive for them.
