I'd take it... I always am looking for a cheap Rainbow. One of the few vacuums I've not personally used. |

I would take it, BUT make sure you take it into a Rainbow service centre & have the motor overhauled. A Rainbow that age would most certainly need new motor bearings & carbon brushes installed in the motor, & is highly likely to have lots of calcium & dirt deposits from being used with water for all those years. Plus Rainbow vacuums don't handle abuse as much as some other brands, & in this case you don't know what the previous owners treated this vacuum like, & if they actually used & maintained the vacuum properly or if they abused it.
