I got this the other day, Hitachi CV6500. No and I mean no info exists on this machine web wise.

I can remember them from my childhood My moms friend had one.

I got it as machine only but soon found a hose and the correct style if wrong colour floor tool at my shop.

It is in poor visual shape and was really dirty when I got it on the outside but the inside is spotless.

The plastic is sun baked and will need to be sanded down and buffed up.

Anyone else have one, It is very powerful

We had one quite like that in the late 60's when I was very young and my father was stationed in Japan. I think I have a picture with it sitting in the kitchen. I will have to look through the albums.

These were sold as Stow-Away in the UK. They sat on top of a box that all the tools were stored in. I don't ever recall seeing one in that lovely orange colour, though. They were cream and brown here and sold alongside the CV50 upright in the early 80's.

I think this is pre stowaway model, Its much smaller.

I am busy sanding down the body so I can get it buffed up.
