This morning when I arrived at my grandmothers house, I set up my Roomba so it could vacuums my grandmothers living room which is the room in the house that gets the most traffic. I plugged the Roomba in, charged it for a while but when I went to turn it on, it didn't do anything. I tried again, this time, the Roomba turned on. I hit the clean button and it started up, the side bristles (the ones that swipe against the wall) turned and then the Roomba stalled and started beeping (8 times it beeped.) I believe that this is an error code 8 which doesn't come up on the iRobot website. If any of you have an idea on how I can fix my Roomba please let me know. It's the 400 series.

I don't know anything about Roombas but did you check the bag or whatever they use to collect dirt is not full or a filter clogged? Something along those lines could activate a self protection feature that shuts the machine down before it can do harm to itself. Just a thought.
