Joanne and I found this at a store called Just junk, One of these places that come's and clean's up your junk and then resells it. Got a few good deals from them.

The top handle is busted /missing, going to have to fabricate a new one. BUT it works

That vacuum cleaner seems to be in good shape and condition and has the hose and attachments a great deal indeed .

My first Dustette came with a fixed upolstery nozzle. The woman that sold it to me(yard sale)said when she had a cleaning business she used it to vacuum windowsills.Never seen the attachments for these. The handle on mine is OK.

Gareth,

We Americans called this the "Pixie" when referring to the version that had the hose and above-the-floor tools.

Apart from the handle it must have led a good life, The motor still fires up well enough but needs some fresh grease. I wish there was some way of repairing the weave on the hose though.

Pixie!

This looks like the Hoover Pixie I have, but with a 'Dustette' bag and replacement hose. In later years, Hoover redesigned the Pixie to look like a smaller version of the Handi-Vac.

Mine's a great machine, too bad somebody chipped a fan blade, it squeals like a stuck pig. Anybody got a replacement fan?
