Today I went to the Tidewater Sew and Vac and they had a big Miele display. Giving the Miele lover I am you know I was in heaven when I saw the S8 UniQ! I asked them if I could test it. They didn't have the hose, wand, or power nozzle attached. They said it was "to much to keep up with those items". So, I asked the guy, "Do you happen to have the hose to the Miele over there?" Then he started to find the box and pulled the power nozzle, wand, and the hose handle out. He said, "Don't vacuum up dust." (Because it was new and to be sold). I wanted to vacuum the door mat sooooo bad, it was horribly dirty, like it's been in a garden shop and never vacuumed for five years! But, I couldn't. That's okay though. The trip was awesome and to try it was fabulous. I didn't see a price tag. But you know the great Miele price. I saw the new redesigned filter, so I knew it was a 2014 one. I checked the date and sure enough, 03/2014. On the highest setting and the power nozzle on, it was so quiet. It seemed like it wouldn't have suction. But, sure enough I turned it on and the vacuum jumped! It's so light that it's suction almost flipped it over! It didn't do that after I turned it on and off a few times. (It must have been excited to be used;)! Anybody who has one please tell me your favorite feature(s) about it.
