I've been studying different threads and can't seem to come up with an answer. If there's an explanation and someone knows the answer I would appreciate it. One would think that there would be a rhyme or reason for these different lines but I can't find it.
I understand how promotional lines vary and are usually short lived as the word "promotion" is used in marketing to entice or draw attention from the public, but for the life of me I can't understand or see the continuity in the A, B and C lines. I've read thread # 11425 and it helps but there's still some things I don't get. Zippers/snaps, headlight/no headlight, full bumper/partial bumper, one speed/two speed, etc... I'm mostly interested in the metal base machines. Thanks, B. |

This is what I know....
Zippers, Headlight, full bumper, two speed was to the Top of the line models. Snaps, No Headlight, partial bumper, was the entry model. I am not sure if it had a single speed motor or two speeds... As a note High speed was only when you inserted the converter for above floor cleaning. As far as cleaning ability, I think you would get the same results regardless of deluxe or entry model. My mom had a Hoover Medal Body model 70 TOL and my Aunt had a Model 33 Metal Body entry. I used both and could not tell a difference in the cleaning ability. PR-21 |
