I have seen a couple different Aerus Floor Beautifiers (now known as Floor Pros--Models B-9, B-10, and on) in which the dispensers no longer attach to the machine; they fall out unless held on by string, tie down cord, et cetera. It seems that this is caused by a broken or worn catch on the dispenser's spring-loaded handle which renders it useless to secure it to the counterpiece. Is this correct? If so, can the handle be replaced, or does one need to order a whole new dispenser? Otherwise, what is the reason a dispenser does not snap into place?

The handle of the top of the tank should latch on a metal bar on the machine that will hold it firmly in place.

You could always call your local service guy too

people yank the tank out rather than releasing the catch and removing... this breaks the lip of the catch. You do have to buy a whole new tank, the catch is not available as a separate part. They are relatively inexpensive.

Much obliged, gentlemen. The unfortunate thing--at least in this collector's mind--of replacing the entire shampoo dispenser is that different models have different colors and decals; and I would doubt that Aerus has each one still available; very likely only generic ones or those of the current model are sold as replacements.

Moving to a different Floor Pro subject ... Below is a photo of the Model S105G/Floor Pro barcode tag which reveals its colors as "Oyster/Fog". I will take for granted that oyster is the darker hue and fog is the other. It's difficult to tell if the tag is on the carton or on the machine.

To me, the lighter-colored Model S105B/Floor Pro is similar in appearance to the S105G but not identical. I am curious to know the "official" color names of all the Aerus LLC (Electrolux LLC) machines from the Model 1521/Grand Marquise era to the current time, so if one could locate the barcode tags of those machines s/he might find the answers. It would also be nice to know the company's color names of all the older machines rather than just the popular names used by collectors--but that's more of a stretch. Some are known--such as the "aqua marine green" and "tan" Model Gs.

Well, your best bet to find the replacement exactly like yours is keep an eye on ebay, otherwise, the whole tank comes as one piece.

As far as the colors go, not 100 sure on a lot of them, but the last models where "China White" and are now just simply "Black."

Otherwise, most of the colors are listed in the product history

You can still get just the handle. Not in that color, unless someone has old stock. There are at least 3 colors available to order.
