That is one model of the long running Phillips made canister vacuums that Oreck sold for many years.
I have the same machine with a small power head. They are quiet, powerful, well made machines and I love mine!
With that wessel-werk head, it is a very aggresive machine.

Go for it!

That was a great machine, especially when they switched to the WW power nozzle. It's quiet, powerful, variable motor control, on/off switch on the long hose, long cord on winder. It retailed for $899.99 when it was suddenly discontinued, and sadly replaced by the TTI built Oreck Quest which turned out to be a huge disappointement, but also was less than half the price. I have plush carpet, and have to turn the motor control down to half power so the power nozzle will work well, everything else I use full power. That WW nozzle is not height adjustable, the only downside, but that's a great buy on that vacuum as long as everything works. It's only missing the crevice tool, which can be ordered/bought through an Oreck store.

I have two!

Oreck sadly discontinued this model a few years ago and replaced it with some pos that looks like a Bissell digipro. The Dutch tech has always been my favorite oreck machine.
