What is the diameter of the round pre-motor filter used in Hoover Spirit Quadraflex canister vacuums? Someone out here in Vacuumland has to have one of these in their collection. I need a pre-motor filter for my Singer/Ryobi/Kenmore 3.1 thingamabob that is round and about 5 to 5 1/4 inches diameter. The filter used in the Spirit looks like it might fit that description. Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

You forgot Super-Sweeper! The Spirit filter measures roughly at 4 3/4 inches in diameter! laughing

Thanks Super_sweeper. Not quite big enough, need something circular that's 5 to 5 1/4 inches diameter. Darn! But thanks anyhow.

No problem! You can always try one of your custom-made filters, I gave my Fantom HEPA filtration with a synthetic bag and some scissors! foot-in-mouth (By foot-in-mouth I mean laughing!).

A Kenmore CF-1 pre-motor filter is rectangular 4 7/8 X 5 inches, just a touch too small in on dimension to cover the opening. I'm looking at other possibilities.

If all else fails, simply trim a HEPA synthetic bag to fit, or use AC filter material! laughing

Read my post on the filter fairy. An ebay seller came through today in a huge way, with both the right NOS dust bags and now the correct filters thrown in gratis. She dug them up from the depths of her shop and just gave them to me. There aren't enough words allowed in the ebay feedback line to do some sellers justice.
