I am wondering if any of the brain trust here knows who manufactures this hose?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kenmore-Canister...

Quite a few places sell it. I need to find out who the manufacturer is. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

a shame we cant get someone to make a 9' version of that hose ... seems they only sell in 7'... these would be great for the late 1960's - very early 80's powermates

Oh no, I have one and they are a full ten feet long. It is a fabulous hose, really nice quality but the canister end with that pig tail doesn't work with any of my old Kenmore canisters. The hose end is just too close to the outlet on the canister to get the pig tail plug in. There isn't enough room for the pig tail when the hose is seated on the vacuum.

I took ends off of mine and put the original Kenmore ends on the hose, but I guess I stretched the cuffs a bit doing so and now the hose doesn't seal well. My idea is to proposition the manufacturer to sell me, through a dealer of course, a few of these without their ends on them so I can install the OEM Kenmore ends when my existing hoses die or to use if I acquire another old Kenmore vac with a bad hose or two.

Tomorrow I am going to buy the best hot mitts I can find, use a heat gun to get the cuffs nice and soft and then press them down on the hose ends until they cool and see if that gets them to seat better. Stay tuned kids.

I still want to know who makes those hoses however.
