Ok so I got my oreck xl 2 andthe head light wires were disconnected it's a ametek motor4 terminal posts 2 black wires 2 white wires the white wir from the head light has a piggy back terminal so some one please please help me

 It doesn't! I'll probably do some scanning tomorrow, vacuumland could benefit from a larger copy of that wiring diagram!

Same motor, just made by different companies. Well, I doubt they're different. best case scenario, the Oreck works. worst case, it explodes. A lot. wink

How can you ask 'what goes where' when there's a wiring diagram? Most Oreck motors are marked with a black dot for which terminals are hot or neutral. I usually wire the motor by matching my motors' grounding pin to face in the same direction as the one in the diagram.

Go borrow someone's Oreck with the same lights that you have & pop open the bootom & have a gander how it's wired then.
