Great, rare and interesting booklet! This raises the question of which came first,McAllister or Silver King,as there are similarities of features, suggested uses and mid west locations.Any connections? |

Sometimes it is the problems to be solved with the technology and materials available in a given era that drives different engineers to arrive at similar, even identical, solutions to those problems. |

The McAllister uses the same lamb motor as a round Lewyt, a short pan Silver King, a Filter Queen model 350, and a Eureka 800 series. They all have exactly the same suction. The Silver King was here before the McAllister. Both claimed to be able to pick up water, just like Lewyt claimed for their first model (40).
