Has anyone ever seen a Eureka upright in the color that's in today's pic of the day in person or have one in their collection? Is that supposed to be a maroonish color with gray trim? Is that the first Eureka upright to use a paper bag?

Yes, here it is. When I was a little boy, one of our neighbors had this model. They kept in their (attached) garage just by the door leading to the utility room.

I had one

And foolishly let it go when I had to sell my house years ago...it matches the red Roto Matic of 1955, its actually a candy apple red color..

It's a really pretty machine. I don't have mine any longer, either. It was a casualty of my last move, along with a lot of other stuff that had to go. I wonder if I will ever get over that....... Hopefully...............

Indeed that was a beautiful model, that I've just never seen in person. I wonder why they're so rare, I have older Eurekas than that, it's a wonder as many collections I've seen and conventions I've attended, just never did see one. Again, does anyone know if that's the first model with a disposable bag? Thanks guys for responding!
