Thank you! It's not like me to find such machines all in one go! |

Hey! Really nice machine! I am thinking of getting a Miele S7 or S5 cat and dog :) Enjoy the Miele! |

That's one heckuva deal on a very good vacuum cleaner. Wish we had some before photos to see how dirty it was before you cleaned it up. What is the faulty hose syndrome you mentioned? |

They may well have got rid of it because of its weight. These old Miele vacs are rare and like hen's teeth but they are also fairly heavy and last longer than a lot of the more modern ones. One reason alone to why Currys decided to sell Miele S700s again, because even without the Revolution model, the basic machine is far better made IMHO than the more modern, lighter ones.

I agree they are so heavy and quite large compared to newer models. They are a good deal quieter too! Are these really rare? You can normally find them on eBay although expensive and not always working. |

Sigh. My next eBay vacuum might have to be a Miele canister, just to see what all the talk is about. Which ones came with Ametek Lamb motors? |
