Living most of my life in arid places it is always surprising to me to see corrosion on things, especially household items like a vacuum. That surely makes restorations an order of magnitude more difficult. |

Same here, even vehicles don't rust too much at all where I live. But I do see water damaged vacuums regularly, esp. older ones that have been stored in a damp basement or a place not well sheltered from the weather. It can make things so much more challenging! Some of my more rare or hard to find machines have such damage, it was disappointing at first but with some work you can really turn it into something nice.
