Hi folks! Some of you may remember a contest that Health-Mor had last year about sending in stories about your expeirences with Filter Queen. Well, I sent in one abouot having my Great-Grandmother's model 31 Filter Queen, and low and behold, I won the contests top prize, A BRAND NEW FILTER QUEEN AND DEFENDER! Here are some pics of the new one and the old one that won it for me. Toby G.

Congratulations!

Now that's pretty cool! I bet you didn't think that would happen, did you? Thank God it's a canister, eh? What would've you done if you'd won a Kirby? LOL, I know how you like your canisters. I've heard good things about the Defender air cleaner too. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! Enjoy!

Filter Queen

One of the few great vacs.Enjoy!
Would be curious of your opinion of new vs. old hose handles, wand systems, att latches, etc.
This somehow reminded me that FQ had a program at one time to furnish vacs to historic homes.I think ones owned by National Trust for Historic Preservation. This included many sites in northeast and a F L Wright home in VA among others. The historic homes got a FQ and the FQ offices had a poster.Anyone visited a site or seen a FQ at one?

Hi Guys! Well, the story is quite simple. My Great-Grandmother and Grandfather purchased the model 31 new. It's been around as long as I can remember and I always knew where it was kept. So, from the time I could walk I would go get it and play with it for hours whenever we would visit. To this day, when I look at the vac I can still hear my Great-Grandmother, who everyone called Ma-Ma, laughing at me when I was small struggling to pull the Filter Queen around. Many years later, when the old FQ had been put into storage because Ma-Ma could no longer handle it, her last daughter got married and they were doing some remodeling on the old house. They were cleaning out and throwing away things as you often do during those things, and they were going to throw the old FQ away, but she put her foot down and said NO, that I had pulled that vac around since I could walk and that I would get it. She called me, I went and got it, and the rest, as they say, is history. Toby G.

Hi, It's always good to hear when people actually win the top prizes when companies put on these competitions.

It just goes to show if you enter you could win the top prize. You have to be "In it to win it" as they say. laughing
