Freemans and Grattan UK already have quite a few "Eco" vacs listed by Vax, and due to come onto the market July or August. However Amazon UK also have a few listed including a "new" Naked white vac, now red and called "Energise Tempo."

Thanks.

It seems the original Air models have a Hoover Air Head instead of the regular Vax one.

Those new Vax brushrolls are beautiful!

I hope they preform as well as they look! It doesn't look like they've addressed the problems with the Air 3's cyclone pack, but I'm glad some of these models still feature the orignal Vax Air's superior filtration setup.

I hope the US gets Hoover Airs soon that use the gap-free brushroll. Vax and Hoover USA seem to be sharing a lot of ideas these days.

They're the same company. TTI make Hoover US and Vax UK. The Hoover name is owned by Candy in Europe, so our Hoover cleaners are different to the US ones.

Sadly, Chris, my fears of brands that are not redesigning key features to make vacuums far more efficient, despite the EU law coming in, is highlighted with these Vax upright that still use paper pleated cones.

I am aware that TTI owns both companies, Turbo..

But for a long time, ideas didn't frequently carry across the pond like they are now. Hoover and Vax just launched the Air Cordless at almost the same time, and that's something that hasn't happened before. Vax designed the Air, and Hoover saw the potential in the product, launched it here (a huge success), and since then, their machines seem to be more of a collaboration of ideas between the two.

It has happened plenty of times before...

In the early days of TTI and Vax, around 2007 or 2008 the Vax Mach 7 (an upright that was Top of the Line and one my aunt had, huge thing with auto cord rewind) was also a Hoover Windtunnel model (Can't mind which one, there are so many) in the U.S - You may recognise it and also several lower models like the red Mach 3 and blue Mach 4

Went under model numbers such as VZL-6017, 6013, 6014

Look at those brushbars! Look like long, stiff bristle with no dividing lines in the sole plate, something I love. If these brushrolls are anything like th Vax/Hoover air cordless which do look similar, they will be amazing. The air cordless on both sides of the Atlantic is doing well. It's only been out less than two weeks yet vax already have over 80 customer reviews on the air cordless.

I am thinking if you have that same stiff brushroll on a main powered cleaner like these air 3 ones here, the performance should be phenomenal.

I can sympathise greatly with those who keep going on about brushrolls on a cordless upright, just because you can see it through the acrylic hood.

However, over time those bristles don't keep their shape. The ones on my original Vax Mach Air eventually stopped being tough at the tip. I feel that Vax are trying to copy Dyson again by having blue strips or brushes and in a similar fashion or a nod to Dyson's latest brush roll bars, however even if an upright has the stiffest of bristles, it isn't always going to guarantee an efficient clean, never mind a groomed look, or a look that says "Im destroying your carpet bit by bit by pulling great big tufts out of it."

Of course suction plays a big deal but then so does the shape of the floor head, sole plate, suction air flow and other variables.
