I opened up the motor housing on my new/used Windtunnel and it looks like a lot of moisture got in there. Do you think it'll be okay or should I buy a new one? Here are the pictures below and the link is for the thread I created about the vacuum yesterday.

The big question is, how does it run? If it runs fine, don't bother replacing it, but if it sounds nasty or smells, by all means replace it.

That's what I'm probablly gonna do

but even if I do have to buy a new one, I only paid $30 for the machine and a new motor would cost around $70, so I still would spend less than I would to buy a new SP Windtunnel.

Take a long extension cord

To your neighbors house & ask them to plug it in that way if anything happens, you'll still have power...LOL... Wait for the explosion & we'll watch on the world news tonight why half the state of Illinois went dark!

Why buy an extension cord?

Yikes! I've picked up ones that had been through a flood that looked better than that. It may run but it will probably start screaming like a banshee soon if it hasn't already.

I don't think you could even go wrong putting in a good used motor if you don't want to buy new.
