I love how easy it was. No exposed tension spring to worry about. 2 quick solder connection and a good cleaning and it's back in business.

I've been meaning to do this for a couple of years but for whatever reason kept procrastinating. I'd forgotten just how powerful and quiet the LX is. So my brain got to churning and after vacuuming all the dust and cobwebs out from between the ole gray cells I bojacked a power cord so I could use a PN with the LX...I may have to use this as a daily driver for a bit. With it's power suction and the addition of agitation from a PN it really did an awesome job on my plush wall to wall. I have to admit the 2 power cords running to the wall is a bit of a kluge but I can live with that.

I have no experience in soldering, I tried it once but it exploded I got the black & while wires crossed when I was a teen & ever since then I've let other people do it. Is it the same thing with plumbing with a blow torch I can do that with no problem but with wires...lol. Stand back also plumbing with glue is easy too I guess I'm used to DIM projects.. I'm glad it went well...I've heard some stories with those springs across the face! I have a Reni, ambassador III light blue, and a 2100 in storage... My entire collection is in storage for not enough room in the house after downsizing... From 2800sqft to 1845sqft..
