Hi there! I'm hoping the Fantom experts (I can tell you the history of Fantom forwards, backwards, and in 8mm format, but this is my first Fantom tear-down!) can clue me in on wiring!
If there's one (and only!) thing I dislike about rebuilds, it's having to tear something down again due to a mis-calculation! my calculation in this case is that the 2 yellow wires from the motor serve as 2 neutrals, and are connected to the neutral bus, along with the neutral from the headlamp. on the hot bus, I have the motor, headlamp hot, and the 2 thermal protection wires installed, As so
HOT BUS-[*][&] [^][*] NEUTRAL BUS-[%][%] [$]
Key-
[*]-Thermal protection [&]-Motor hot [^]-Headlamp hot [%]-Motor neutral 1 & 2 [$]-Headlamp neutral
(For those who don't understand basic ASCII representatives, ask and you shall receive a picture!)
Thanks! -Alex. |

So I helped myself by tearing into Thunder #1 (Of 2 Thunders!). Here's one of my Famous not-so-well-made Illustrations for future reference of civilians who find themselves in the same quarrel I did!
This is the wiring on the under-side of the circuit! If you're looking for wiring the top part, The neutral from the cord will connect to the terminal above the 4 Neutral terminals on the bottom of the circuit board. Connect Hot to the terminal above the 3 Hot Terminals! Have fun, and good luck Future VacuumLanders! |
