I'm on a roll here! Working at home with TV on in the bkg. Green Acres came on. Lisa and Oliver are in the kitchen. As the scene opened, the camera slowly panned around the room and I saw a glimpse of a very familiar red handle in the corner of the frame! I wondered if there would be more, and there was! Even if just a little!! :)

Lisa tries to use the (pink!) washing machine; it makes great thumping and banging noises.

Mr. Douglas runs over and opens the front of the washer and feathers pour out. Lisa runs for a broom to clean but just stirs the feathers around.

Mr. Douglas says "No, don't use a broom!" He runs off-camera and comes back carrying a 500-series Kirby, presumably a model 518 or later because it had a speckled gray bag. There was just a quick shot of it but enough to clearly see the bag.

Green Acres

Yes!A Kirby was part of the line up of appliances in the kitchen. The joke was that with the old electric wiring Lisa could only use certain appl at the same time without blowing fuse. Also that the phone co ran out of wire and they have to climb pole to use phone.
You will also see Lincoln & Mercury Marquis featured.

IIRC, I recall seeing a Westinghouse upright in another "Green Acres" episode. Lisa was vacuuming the entrance of the house and tells a visitor "Mr. Douglas has a thing for clean porches." Not sure what model it was though.

"Hello, this is Lisa Douglas on the pole." LOL. It's funny in innuendos you miss as a child.

There is an episode of Green Acres;where Lisa is practicing vacuuming with a Hoover #63.Have lived many places that we called the electric,Mr.Haney wiring.Where you can only use certain appliances at the same time or the circuit breaker pops.
