Hi! I'm in the market for an Electrolux Olympia 1401-B and a teal/aqua colored model G. Also, I need a model 1205 armature too! If anyone has these vacuums and/or armature for sale please contact me! My email is: JagerSmirch@aol.com. Thank you! :) -Michelle

Hi Michelle! I may be able to help you with the Olympia One Elux. However, all I have is the tank, but I'm sure you could come up with the matching brown power nozzle from another collector or e-bay. I'd take $25.00 plus shipping for the lux if you're interested. Just let me know, Toby Glenn

Thanks! I'm interested! That sounds great! The canister is all that I was looking for, for right now. I have a 1205 that my husband bought for me a year or so ago. It came with everything! The only thing I had to buy was a new rubber replacement hose, the original braided hose was unraveling and lost a lot of suction! She needs a new armature so I can't use her right now and I really miss using my lux! So, technically I could use all of my 1205 attachments on the Olympia until down the road I get all the original attachments for it. I've always liked the Olympias and wanted to add one to my collection! Does it work good and have good suction? I would use it as one of my daily drivers. Also, if you could send a few pics of it that would be awesome! Thank you! :) -Michelle

You may also want to consider making "sets" of teal and brown like I'm doing, Michelle.

A "set" includes what was sold in each era:

1. Standard Model vacuum cleaner & matching attachments (e. g. 1205, 1401-B/Olympia One)
2. Budget Model vacuum cleaner & matching attachments (e. g. teal L, brown 1453)
3. Turbo Rug Washer/Floor Polisher: (e. g. teal w/ivory; brown w/ivory)
4. Model B-8 Carpet Beautifier/Floor Polisher (e. g. teal, brown)
5. Model CB Tank Cleaner (commercial): (e. g. teal top, brown top) I'm actually not going after these

To my knowledge Aerus has always done matching color sets for each era of cleaners with at least one exceptions (e. g. the ivory Model L and aqua Model G). Even the Model GHs (Model G for hospitals with extra features such as an after filter) had trim that matched the teal and tan trim of the domestic vacuum cleaners' trim which is nice for collecting or dating machines.

Pictured is the Turbo Rug Washer for that was sold during the Model 1205 era. The colors are the same but reversed from the earlier version of the aqua Model G era:

Forgot to mention the power nozzles and hoses that go with the Model 1205 and 1401-B/Olympia One:

Power Nozzles -

1205: teal PN-1 (1968-1972); polished aluminum PN-2 (1972-1974). If your 1205 has a smooth body it is likely from the PN-1 era. The last year or two saw the body become textured. There are other differences, too.

1401-B: brown PN-4 or brown PN-4A

Hoses -

1205: teal with pairs of white tracers (c. 1968-1972: goose-neck handle; 1972-1974: pistol-grip handle)

1401-B: ivory with brown chevron tracers

___________

Here is a photo of what I'd call a partial teal set (originally posted by floor-a-matic: Model 1205, teal Model B-8, and teal Model L:

Hi Michelle! Unfortuneatly, I'm not able to post pics right now, but the machine is in good shape, runs well, and has good suction. I also might have a matching hose for the vac, but let me check it first to see if it still will run a power nozzle and if it leaks and how badly. Keep in touch so i can get a shipping cost for the vac and we can finalize the deal. Toby G.

Hi Toby! Thanks for writing back! Cool, you found the hose for it! If the hose doesn't have suction don't worry about it! I have 3 braided hoses that are not original to my 1205, xxx, and lx and don't have suction anymore. I just ended up buying a new rubber replacement hose for my 1205 and down the road we're gonna convert my xxx and lx to run on a power nozzle. Yes, I'm still interested! I will privately email you my address. BTW, is the Olympia One a 1401 or a 1401-B? Just curious. Thanks again! :) -Michelle

That's sounds good! So, are you selling to me the whole 1205 or just the motor parts? I will purchase just the model G (no attachments) and the 1205 for $75.00 + shipping. Let me know if that's what you meant. I'll wait for your reply and from there I will send you my address privately for shipping costs. Thanks Shane! -Michelle
