I have always heard that Aerus / Lux had great customer service. However, I have visited a couple of "not so friendly" dealers before whom quoted astronomical prices on supplies and acted like I was crazy. Needless to say, they didn't get my business.

On the other hand, Tuesday I called Aerus Customer Service to order a hose with pigtail connection for my F, G, and L. The lady I spoke with was very kind and accommodating. She made me feel very valued as a customer. That was Tuesday and yesterday on Thursday I received the hose. Now that's fast!

I am beyond pleased with Aerus Customer Service. You can bet that next time I need bags or some of those new carbon filters, I will be contacting Aerus customer service. I am glad there are still great American companies like Aerus that value their customers and put pride into their products. Maybe that's why Electrolux is my favorite brand!!!

Always nice to hear someone had a great experience with a company. I work for an Aerus Franchise and I know we work very hard to provide that level of service here, however not every franchise does and that is VERY disappointing to hear. The hit or miss experience is the worst part of branches no longer being company owned.

I had a similar experience With Electrolux

in the past.  When I lived in Beaver Falls in the late 80s, early 90s, I had a model Super J trade in I bought as is from a friend that ran a vacuum store.  The power nozzle needed repaired, and it didn't have the suction I thought it should have had.  I perused the Yellow Pages, and found that the closest Electrolux dealer was in New Castle, which  about an hour away.  I gave them a call and explained the problem, and they said they would send someone out to help me, and scheduled an appointment.  At the appointed time, a lady and gentleman from Electrolux arrived and examined my machine.  They determined that my canister was fine, but after checking out the hose and PN discovered that the hose leaked very badly, and the PN had a bad motor.  The man went out to his vehicle and while he was gone, the lady proceeded to tell me about the newest model.  I wasn't interested in a new machine, and she didn't pressure me like I thought she was going to.  A few minutes later, the man returned with a loaner PN, and took mine in for service.  I was a little worried because I figured with the house call, and the servicing, it was going to cost a small fortune.  About a week later, they returned with my repaired PN, and a package of bags.  I paid for the repair (which I thought was reasonably priced), and then they gave me a package of bags at no additional cost.   They only charged me for the repair. No service charge and no cost for bags.  Needless to say, I was very impressed.

I would love to have an Aerus machine, shiny and new, but sadly the closest store is over 100 miles away now. The Beaverton store closed up shop some time ago. I really do not want to drive that far for warranty service.

However, I am very happy to hear that they're still such a class act.

My good friend, and Vice President of Aerus, Rich Luisi is an awesome guy. Any parts or vacuums can be obtained directly from him. Rich is the one who provides the brand new models to the Vacuum Cleaner Museum for our Electrolux displays. Anyone needing any Aerus/Lux parts or new vacuums, can contact Rich. His phone number is: 800-298-2660

This is our Electrolux 90th Anniversary Models that Rich graciously provided the Museum. I love coming to work everyday, as I get to play with both Vintage and Brand New vacuums.

There

are several of us from the old school; -give good service, provide information without being pushy and go the distance even after the sale to take care of the customer. I have a customer that lives 100 miles from my door step to theirs and glad to go and take care of a friend. If I am good enough to go the distance , I should be good enough to go back for service or parts. You want anything just e-mail me at tig21er@peoplepc.com and I will get you the type of service you want.

Very good to hear. I can tell you that my local Aerus store (Hickory, N.C.) is about a 45 minute drive away and I see Aerus vans riding up and down the roads all the time. The local store here is very good and still offering all the service Lux customers used to get. The guy that owns it is very kind and offers better deals that the other Winston-Salem store (also 45 min. away).

The great customer service is the reason I still own nothing but luxes. The few times I needed service they always come to my home.

Not every franchise is alike or provides good customer service. In fact, door-to-door sales has been listed by Forbes as one of the 10 Top Dead or Dying Career Paths, with an 18 percent decline in positions expected by 2018. Good machines... just very poorly marketed. In the DC area we have only one franchise left! The salesperson or customer will have to drive miles or risk ordering one by phone. I did a case study during my MBA on door sales.

As I mentioned in my post above, I work in an Aerus franchise and I will ship any of our products to just about anyone at pricing well below MSRP. I'll work my rear end off to earn your business and more importantly, your return business. I don't want to steal sales from another franchise, but if you're not being treated like you should be, I'll do my best to ensure first class service and support for every customer, or potential customer and turn your experience around to a positive one. I will also be happy to work out shipping discounts for service or provide genuine parts at fair and reasonable prices.

I can be reached at 7seven5-4zero4-2857, aerusnnv(at)gmail(dot)com or via PM or personal email in my profile.

No Aerus/Lux Dealer in this state

The only close dealer here is in Billings Montana. I called them to ask them if they could fix my Aerus/Lux Gaurdian Platinum so the power nozzle will shut off when you turn the machine off. Well they told me to send it back to the dealer back east that I bought it from.( Funeral Director Brian) got it for me from a dealer he knows in Boston I think. I guess I will just keep using it until the on off switch in the hose breaks from so many on and off uses... Other then that It is a great machine I really like it.. Dan

A shotty dealer network is one of the downsides to Aerus when you need repairs. Authorized repair centers are far and few. Luckily there are some great reps that still provide excellent customer service.

I hate hearing stories like yours. There is just no excuse for behavior like that. Warranty work is supposed to be available at any authorized dealer, no and, ifs or buts. In my opinion, Aerus should have recalled and rewired all the early Platinums but they didn't and I think that was a mistake.
