I am only aware of one vacuum cleaner that was ever given the "official" designation: Electrolux USA's Olympia One (model 1401-B) which was the official vacuum cleaner of the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY.

Have there been or are there others (Electrolux or other brands)--either for the Olympics or other event or cause? If so, were they also affixed with a special decal like the Olympia One was?

From eBay (a refurbished machine):

official vacs

There was a Sears Kenmore canister with decal from 1958 Brussels Worlds Fair. The flat, square type that was usually called a Vanguard but later became the '30' in the 60s.I think there is mention of the Eureka Empress being at least displayed at the 1964 NY Worlds Fair.

Yes indeed. If I remember correctly, Eureka Williams was listed as a New York World's Fair exhibitor either in the Better Living Center or the Pavilion of Interiors - when I find my Guidebook, I can confirm which pavilion had a Eureka exhibit.

I know that Eureka won first prize at an earlier
American World's Fair, but not sure which one.

By the way there were two Olympias the 1401 with the single handle and the 1401-B with the two handles.
