Today, I took delivery of my third SEBO machine, to complement my X4 Extra and my K3 Vulcano, I now have a Felix Premium Rosso.

Like the K3, I ordered it from Freenet Electrical and it was delivered next day, all for the price of £217, which I thought was extremely competitive. SO far I have been very impressed with Freenet, but I did have to wait a while for the Rosso to come into stock. I think the Rosso is the least sold Felix model, with most people either going for the Vogue or Pet models, which Freenet usually carry in stock all the time.

Roger does a comprehensive review on this machine on youtube, but I thought I'd post some unboxing pics.

The Felix came in a standard Felix box, well packed for transit inside a plain cardboard box.

Showing the underside of the SEBO Felix Rosso 's Red  ET-1 powerhead in beautiful, unused and clean condition - this is a fantastic floorhead that pulls itself along as you go:

The empty box - and the instructions - sadly only 1 bag is supplied with this machine - will have to order some more!

SEBO Felix Rosso - Assembly stage 2 -  Attach the tool caddy to the handle  and push the two tools (Upholstery and Crevice) onto it - unfortunately the Felix Rosso does not come with a dusting brush, but I have one on my other SEBO machines

I wont ramble on about how wonderful this machine is, as Roger has done an excellent, in depth review of this model on his youtube channel (IBAISAIC), but as he didn't do an unboxing video of it, I thought I'd show some pics of how it comes boxed.

I can honestly say that I feel SEBO are now my favourite brand for modern vacuum cleaners, and for the money, this model is half the price of a Dyson Dc41, it just cant be bettered in my opinion. The Felix is just such a versatile machine, which you either love its looks or hate them, but it does its job, and that's what we want from a Vacuum cleaner.

Enjoy!

What do you think of its performance on hard floors?

I had the classic model, and part from hard surface pick up i loved it. Even with clean filters and a new bag it still left grit and small stones after vacuuming. So it had to go.

Post# 280608 , Reply# 15   5/15/2014 at 13:15 (3,605 days old) by madabouthoovers ()

I don't have much hard floor - its carpet in every room bar the kitchen and bathroom, where its lino. I have yet to test it on hard floor, but as it has variable power and brushroll shut off, it shouldn't suck the lino up to the nozzle like the X series does. I will post later with my results from the lino, but on carpet its great.

You'll be able to use the power head with your K3 if you buy the relevant parts.

I'd need the power wand and the small cable connector for the handle - that would cost me the best part of £100 lol

They are incredible machines. Beautifully engineered, durable, quiet, cheap to run, good value for money and the felix is very versatile and comes in some great designs and colours. Mine is the navy so it is white with a royals blue exhaust filter.

@ baglessball - Performance on hard flooring is okay with the head switched off but what you really need is the parquet floor tool. Around £20 on the internet. It transforms its usability on hard floors. Natural hairs strips of removes bristle and it sticks to the floor because it creates such a good seal.

£100 is still less than getting a K3 Premium.

I can fit the Deluxe Kombi head from my K3 on it for hard floors

Theres a K3 Premium on ebay at the mo for £150 in as new condition Roger, but it has the ETH head May as well get that than pay £100 just for the wand and connector.

Loving the pictures of your new SEBO Felix Rosso madabouthoovers, I do like the red Rosso model nice colour combo. Hope you enjoy using it. Reminded me of un-boxing my SEBO Felix Classic. I thought the box it came in like yours was a bit big! The ET-1 head is brilliant love using my Felix.

Be careful on the lino I've used my Felix with the ET-1 head on my bathroom lino on height level 1 or 2 with the brush roll off of course and not with the power on that much and I found in places it stuck to the lino. As my Classic came with the deluxe parquet floor tool so I prefer to use that on my lino and tiled floors when I'm doing a full clean. If I'm doing a quick clean round I use the ET-1 head with the brush roll off on the lino and tiled floor, I do prefer to use the deluxe parquet floor tool.

If I was to get another Felix it would be the Rosso or the Navy. The hoses are slightly longer and more flexible on the latest range of Felix models I think compared to my Classic version.

Thanks for the link Roger - I'd have to think about it, I've never used Amazon before.

Post# 280621 , Reply# 25   5/15/2014 at 14:09 (3,605 days old) by sensotronic (Englandshire)

You've never used Amazon!!!!!!!! Blimey, you must be in a minority there Steve;-)

I have bought loads from Amazon, including several vacuum cleaners and spares. I got a carrying strap for my Felix from there and an airbelt cover for the K1 I had. They took a couple of days longer as they were sourced from Amazon.de, but listed on the UK site. The electric tube on Amazon now seems to be in stock in the UK, so it should arrive in a few days if you pick free shipping.

I would consider it at that price because you will be able to use the power head to get under low furniture where the Felix won't go. You can also attach the power head directly to the handle to
give your stairs a good deep clean.

Its worth considering Roger - I may well get the wand conversion for my Vulcano. Is the one on Amazon a genuine SEBO or an aftermarket one? Are Amazon reliable at delivering?

Thanks for all the other comments on my new Felix - I need to order some more bags for it from my usual bag supplier, and then it can go into use - this is one machine I do intend to use on a regular basis rather than sitting in my vacuum room unused. I am surprised at how tall a machine it is - it would suit very tall people with the handle fully extended.

It looks like the genuine article Steve and the link says it's by Sebo. I have never had a problem with delivery from Amazon. They tend to use Royal Mail for smaller items and other couriers for larger goods. If you order, you must make sure you click on the free supersaver delivery option as Amazon normally put first class as default. If it turns out not to be genuine Sebo, Amazon will accept it back and refund your money.

Amazon sell the Felix bags for £8.95 but you have to spend £10 for free delivery. They also sell the X series fleece bags for only £6.18.

I've decided to leave converting the K3 for the time being, although I may consider it in the future. I have ordered the bags from this supplier which sells them for £16.98 for 2 boxes with free delivery. I always use them for bags, filters and belts and they have always been reliable.

Nice Rosso, Steve. The Fun model, which this model is supposed to replace was a colour that I wasn't that sure about. I know it wasn't very popular. Each to their own, though.

The Deluxe Parquet comes with the Navy model as standard (the one I own) and the top of the range Pet model. What you get with the Rosso is the stair turbo brush which the Navy and the Vogue doesn't get.

I have both suction floor heads too - I don't find the Kombi floor head that easy to work when attached to the Felix - it does work well but I much prefer using the lighter Deluxe Parquet floor tool - slightly longer and a touch lighter, it is easy to use for cleaning hard floors and reiterates the generally light feeling that the Felix can give.

The Deluxe Kombi is a lot easier to use with any of SEBO's cylinder vacs, including the old C series. But when it has something as heavy as the Felix on top of it, it just doesn't feel that easy to work with.

I watched a documentary about how Amazon treat their warehouse staff like robots. I wasn't impressed.
