I was at the thrift store Thursday and found a machine I had been looking for, a Hoover Slimline model 2017. It was priced $5, but there must have been a sale because I paid $3.75 with tax! It has the hose, telescoping wand and floor tool, but not the attachments that fit inside. I've been cleaning it out as it seemed someone may have used it without a bag. It is an interesting machine. I haven't tested it yet as it has the green goo problem on the plug, hopefully it works. It is cleaning up nicely.

It was "budget priced", but all HOOVER. Takes the same J bag as Portable and Miss Connie HOOVER. Enjoy!!

I will enjoy it. I plugged it in and it sounds good! Turtle Wax Polishing Compound really brought the shine back to the paint and got rid of some scratches as well. I have some J bags ready to put in and will try to find the matching small attachments also.

All cleaned up. I polished the paint and cleaned the hose and floor tool. I think it came out pretty nice. Now I need to find some attachments.

Thanks. I will say these are not easy to pull around. I need to oil the wheels also, very squeaky.

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering what year my machine is from? I saw a post of the 1971 lineup and didn't see it.
