How do you

take the bag off?  I have a Concept One, and the bag is really filthy and needs a good wash.

Re the bag

You take out all the screws in the bag the place a screw driver in the oval opening in the back plastic plate pry outwards and pull be careful when doing so for safety's sake

With my little eye, I spy a dusting tool CLEARLY NOT the same species! Could that be, oh, let's say, Electrolux?? And, WHY???

Oops

....well I was using my discovery 2 to get up all the dust that flew all over the furniture when I took the concept apart. I guess it felt like it wanted to make a apperence:3

ELECTROLUX on a HOOVER!? Oh, you're about to get it from John! HOOVER dusting is a job reserved for Hoover PORTAPOWERS!Tongue out

Don't be too harsh on James now. Of course he had to use a nice clean Electrolux to clean up after that dirty, dust-spewing old Hoover. :P

Yeah...

It was full of dust it was an old lady's concept that she kept in storage sweet old the she was. She replaced it with a dirt devil because it was to heavy for her.

the Concept was one of HOOVER'S success stories,

The Hoover

Could beat the the lux IMO as far as cleaning carpets go but as far as a daily driver I'd chose the lux due to it's convinice *ducks under table*

Hey James, I agree with you. I've just bought 2 days ago, a Convertible, and I love it indeed, but a have some nine Luxes, and they are my children. It's a pleasure to play and use them. SOrry Dear John, don't cease to be my friend. Gus

Hoover vs Electrolux

kirbylux77's profile picture
James....yes, you are right, the Hoover would outclean your Discovery II. However, if you were using a new Aerus upright (or one made within the last 10 years), or the Proteam or Perfect Elux copies, the Lux would clean circles around the Hoover Concept, due to the new-style motors with improved suction/airflow & new brushroll design in the Aerus uprights.
