Kirby estate I am trying to get us a tour at the Kirby estate. Right now it is for sale by the Girl Scouts so they do not allow visitors. I am working on an exception and hopefully can swing it. Barb | ||

The problem is Amtrak! For some strange reason there's only one train going from Harrisburg to Chicago, and the stop in Cleveland is at 3:00 am! My return train is at 1:45 am! This means that the hotel will charge me for day before. So, I needed to pinpoint the day people were arriving. As it stands now, I get into my room at 4:00 am of the 12th.
I hope you can work things out with the Kirby estate. Back in the late 1970's I was working for a Kirby office in the Chicago suburbs. As a prize for top sales, my crew and I got to stay at the home of James B. Kirby. Being an historian, that was a great experience, it'll be great to see it again. See you in June. | ||
