How can I get the crevice & upholstery tools & the rug tool shoe "adaptor" to fit my TriStar CXL?  The tools "shrunk" (esp. at the hose end) which won't fit the hose & wands very good or not at all.

Why do Compact/TriStar crevice and/or upholstery tools shrink over time?  I haven't had that problem with vintage vacuum attachments from other brands

When did IEC put the vent holes on the tip of the crevice tool?  All I know is that there were two versions of the clear/glitter crevice tools; some have the holes on the tip & others don't have the holes
